Bears Picnic is an all age 3-day family-friendly camping music festival, held at Blain Picnic Grounds, surrounded by Tuscarora State Forest! The venue offers shaded camping along and near Sherman Creek with swimming holes, a playground and plenty of space.


Bears Picnic is an all age 3-day family-friendly camping music festival, held at Blain Picnic Grounds, surrounded by Tuscarora State Forest! The venue offers shaded camping along Sherman Creek with swimming holes, a playground and plenty of space.  In addition to great music, our event offers craft and food vendors, children’s activities, games, a community art project to be raffled off Saturday night,\ and music all weekend long.​ This is a rain or shine, BYOB event.

Children Ages 12 and under are FREE!! All kids ages 17 and under MUST be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian.​​​

Pet Registration/Processing Fee (Very Limited and w/restrictions ) $50​

VIP Package - (limited) Includes preferred parking & tent/car camping (Thursday 5 PM-Sunday Noon), a Commemorative Laminate, Commemorative Merch Gift, and an event poster. (Bring your ID and pickup your package Friday or Saturday at the merch booth on the right of the stage.) 

 

RV/Camper/Oversized Vehicle Permit (Hookups are NOT available) - This permit is for one (1) RV or Truck & Trailer Combo that is 40’ or under. The permit includes a 20x 40’ space to park and set up camp. It does not include admission which is required for every person attending.

ALL SALES FINAL.  NO REFUNDS.  Transfer policies and procedures are listed at the bottom of you purchase confirmation email.

ANIMALS/Pets: If you must bring an animal, read carefully.

There is a $50 Registration/Processing Fee for each animal - No Exceptions! This applies to EVERY animal (except humans:)

*Animals must have a current rabies vaccination tag to enter.

*For safety reasons, they must be attached with a leash to the owner or secured at the campsite, and are not permitted in the concert field, vending area, or children’s play zone.

*Owners are responsible for cleaning up and disposing of all feces properly.

VENDING: All craft and food vendors must be pre-approved: Please email bpevending@gmail.com with subject “BP Vending Request" for an application. Include contact info, photo sampling of products, and links online presence. (Last years vendors do not need to resend photos or links, but must fill out the current application.)

No unauthorized vending or walk-around permitted – if you’re not a registered vendor you may not sell or distribute anything on the festival grounds. No exceptions. Unauthorized vendors will be removed without ticket refund.

Camping:

After you are processed in, our parking staff will lead you to a spot where you will be able to set up camp next to your vehicle. If you want to camp near your family and/or friends, please make arrangements to arrive together. 

Portable. above ground grills and fire pits are allowed, but are contingent upon any local fire hazard warnings.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Porta potties, wash stations, and sanitizer will be on site to maintain healthy sanitation.  Indoor showers are not available.  Please keep your camping area clean.  Trash cans are available throughout the venue. Please don't litter.

PLEASE MAINTAIN A SAFE, KID / FAMILY FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT!! ​

Do's:

  • Bring a state issued ID if you are the ticket holder. If someone else bought your ticket please make sure that they are with you. 

  • Do leave any bad attitudes behind.

  • Be kind. Be peaceful. Be happy. Be helpful.

  • Be respectful of the land and water, your neighbors and the fine folks who permit us to have this event at their campground. Please, pick up your trash, recycle and help us preserve and keep the grounds clean. 

  • Do bring your required medications, camping gear, extra clothes and plenty of water. Stay hydrated, it can get pretty hot this time of the year. 

  • Do take care of your children; make this a good and memorable experience for them too.

  • Do have a good time, dance the night away, make some new friends and smile, smile, smile. 

 

Don'ts:

  • Don't bring illicit drugs, weapons, or fireworks, or glass. They are strictly prohibited.

  • ​Motor-bikes/motor-scooters are not permitted inside venue during the event.​

  • Illegal, immoral or dangerous behavior will not be tolerated, and you will be escorted off the property without refund.

  • NO Underage Drinking.
